The conversation also touches on the general scope of this translation and its importance for thinking in the English tradition.
Parvis Emad is Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at DePaul University, Chicago. He is the founder and co-editor of the international journal Heidegger Studies and the English translator, amongst others, of Heidegger’s Beiträge zur Philosophie (with Kenneth Maly) and Besinnung (with Thomas Kalary). His most recent book is a collection of essays entitled On the Way to Heidegger’s Contributions to Philosophy (University of Wisconsin Press).
